Unlock Clarity: Stop Losing Time

LPT - Struggling wit in action

A Moment of Challenge

As someone with ADHD, I’ve struggled with staying organized and keeping track of things. My days often felt like a never-ending search for misplaced items, my space cluttered and disorganized. It was as if I had a superpower that made me excel at losing things – it was exhausting and stressful.

The Discovery

One day, while getting ready for work, I found myself frantically searching for my keys. I had put them down on the kitchen counter, but now they were nowhere to be seen. In that moment of frustration, I realized that if only I had put them away in their designated spot immediately after use, I wouldn’t be in this mess. It was then that I decided to adopt a simple yet powerful phrase: “Don’t put it down, put it away.” This habit has been a game-changer for me.

A New Way Forward

Since adopting the “don’t put it down, put it away” rule, my life has transformed in amazing ways. My space is cleaner and more functional, I save time not searching for misplaced items, and I feel more productive and in control. This habit has also helped me with mindfulness and attention to detail – when I put things away where they’re supposed to go, I’m being intentional about where I place items and taking care of my belongings.

Take the Leap

If you struggle with organization, clutter, or losing things like I do, I encourage you to try the “don’t put it down, put it away” rule. It’s a simple yet effective habit that can make a big difference in your daily life. Start by placing little notes for yourself in various locations to remind you, and see how this new habit transforms your space and mindset.

Inspiration Point

Be intentional with every action, no matter how small it may seem. Putting things away immediately after use is not just about organization – it’s about taking care of yourself and your belongings.
