Research ahead of time to find the best stylist for your needs. If you’re feeling extra adventurous, look for student postings on Instagram and request someone whose work looks promising. You might just score yourself a $10-$15 haircut – not bad for a few bucks!
If you’re in the market for some animal love, try calling several shelters in your county to see if they offer waived adoption fees for, say, military personnel or students (my area does!). Some shelters also offer free pet insurance for a month or two. And don’t forget about those insane discounts on pet supplies at the Humane Society – score all the cat goodies you need for just $40!
Funny Fail Moment
Let’s just say my first attempt at finding a student stylist didn’t exactly go as planned… I ended up with a haircut that resembled a bad science experiment. Needless to say, I won’t be sharing any before-and-after photos of that particular incident.
Reflection
