Dime-Saving Hack for Epic Passport Photos
Printing Passport Photos for Dimes on a Dollar
Personal Hook
I was on a mission to print my passport photo, but my phone had other plans – or should I say, my bank account? After blowing $18 at Walgreens, I knew there had to be a better way. Little did I know, it was just a hack away.
The Realization
It all started when I stumbled upon the cheapest printing option ever – Walgreens’ 4×4 square print feature! Who needs a fancy printer and photo paper when you can turn your phone’s selfie into a passport-worthy photo? I mean, my eyes were on the prize: saving $$$. And that’s exactly what I did.
The Hack
Here’s how it works: take your passport pic with your phone (preferably with a decent lighting setup), and then go to Walgreens’ website. Order your photo as the minimum square size – 4×4, baby! Then, click “edit” and add a white border. Zoom out until that border occupies half the frame. Voilà! You’ll have your $0.44 passport photo print in no time.
Funny Fail Moment
Don’t even get me started on when I tried to edit the background… Let’s just say my cat made an unexpected cameo, and it looked like a failed attempt at an Instagram filter. Don’t worry, I learned from that mistake!
Reflection
After using this hack, I felt victorious – not only did I save some serious cash, but I also saved myself from potential frustration if I had tried to print a 2×2 photo from home (which, let’s be real, might’ve ended in catastrophe).
