And then it hit me – there’s a way to keep track of all these pesky details in one place.

The Realization

So, imagine my surprise when I discovered that my Google account has this super cool “Dark web report” option (I mean, who comes up with these names?). It’s this tiny feature tucked away in the security tab, but trust me when I say it’s a total game-changer. Apparently, due to data breaches on all the websites we love to sign into (think social media, email, online shopping – you name it), our personal details can be floating around on that mysterious “dark web”. And just like that, Google gives us a heads-up about whether any of this sensitive info has popped up.

The Hack

Here’s what you need to do: head over to your Google account settings and navigate to the security tab. Scroll down until you see this little gem – the “Dark web report” option. Click on it, and voila! You’ll get a report about whether any of your personal details have been compromised. It’s super easy, and I wish someone had told me about this sooner (like, way sooner).
